{Nail polish is organized in a container that separates light colors and dark colors, making it easier to grab what I’m looking for}
One of the things that you will catch me doing each week is repainting my nails. This has been a beauty ritual of mine for as long as I can remember. Since I’m constantly changing my nail and toe nail colors, I have learned how to give myself a manicure instead of paying someone else to do it. Here are my steps for recreating the salon experience at home.

{Remove old nail polish using cotton balls (which are stored in a decorative bowl for easy access) and Zoya’s polish remover. It’s a gentle formula that comes in a convenient pump container. Added bonus: it smells like lavender!}
{Remove ridges and smooth nails using a nail buffer}

{File and shape nails so that they’re not too long. I prefer the squoval shape – squared with rounded edges}

{Apply a basecoat for a longer-lasting manicure. I recently started using Orly’s Rubberized Bonder. Next, apply two coats of polish. I’m wearing OPI’s InStyle Red here. Finally, top off your manicure with a quick-dry topcoat, such as Orly’s In a Snap.}

{To remove unwanted polish that may have slipped beyond the nail, use a toothpick dabbed in polish remover. This does the trick perfectly!}

Will your nails last all week or do you have to do touchups in between manicures?
They actually do last most of the week! With the Orly top coat that I’ve recently been using, it does seem to last longer than other brands I’ve tried. My nail polish usually starts chipping after 5 days or so, but the chips have been small so it hasn’t been that noticeable.
