Last weekend, we hosted a wine and cheese party (this was #3 on my summer to-do list!). This ended up being one of the best nights with friends. Each couple brought a unique wine and cheese, and we sampled, tasted, and talked for hours.
When planning for the party, I wanted the little details to be personal, warm, and inviting. Since we had been planning this party for months, I wanted to make sure it was extra special. Here are the fun details from the party!

{Placemats were cut from craft paper and stamped with a wine motif, and cheese knives were within reach for guests}

{Each wine bottle was placed in a paper sack (complete with a floral top, thanks to Triston!), and wine charms were made using a paper punch, number stamps, and twine. We later voted on our favorite wine, and the paper bags kept them in hiding}

{Wooden cutting boards were placed on each end of the table for easy access, and cheeses were labeled with homemade flags using toothpicks, paper, scissors, and glue}

{Interesting chocolates were cut into bite sized pieces and labeled….Yes, we sampled a s’more-flavored chocolate!}

{In the center of the table was a 3-tiered stand which held fruits and Ghiradelli brownies for everyone’s sampling pleasure}

{Extra crackers were organized on a platter next to a basket of fresh sourdough bread}

{Two different snack mixes – one sweet, one salty – were other snacking options. No one left hungry!}

looks like fun! sorry we had to miss it! maybe next time
How fun is this?! I just love it! Thank you so much for sharing and for giving me the inspiration to maybe….just maybe host a party like this myself! Perfection!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the idea! I’m so glad we had the party because it ended up being one of the best nights with friends – and something different! Enjoy your future party!
I am so copying the three-tiered idea. Brownies, strawberries, grapes = Perfection.
