There are so many stores right now who are selling tops with embellished collars. I love most of them, and I decided that I could attempt to do this myself at home. It’s so easy that it’s not even funny.

You’ll need: jewel glue, buttons/embellishments of your choice, and a collared shirt

1) Apply the glue to the back side of each of the embellishments.

2) Place where you would like and press down. It might be a good idea to lay out all of the embellishments beforehand so that you have an idea of what you’d like the collar to look like.

3) I mirrored the collars so they look alike. Let dry for a few hours.

4) After drying, this top has taken on a new life and is ready to be worn out.
Note: The glue is washable, but I have not tried this yet to test how it holds up. I’m prepared for the worst, but hoping for the best.

Oh great idea! I can’t wait to re-work some old collared shirts!
